What is Good Mourning?

Good Mourning is an effort to change that. This is a guide, a workbook of sorts. It's tied to the shape of the calendar. Each calendar month is guided by a single word, a theme. Every theme is designed to be interpreted from several angles, offering flexibility and adaptability. These themes give Grievers and Supporters a place to start, a common ground on which to build this practice of grieving together.

When the message we usually hear is, “There is no right or wrong way to grieve,” it has a way of making Grievers and Supporters feel lost. It’s not about right or wrong, but being shown examples of “how” so that we can find our own unique way forward.

• Each month contains at least 30 pages of rituals, activities, resources, and more. Every day is unique.
